nekoconco brought it to my attention that i i should really remember to write a small description along with my pieces that tell a little how it was made or more about what its made of etc. So thank you to nekoconco.
- - - This piece was created in traditional collage technique, meaning each object you see was hand cut and positioned and glued in place. *The woman was originally putting her arms around a man, and it was a 1823 add for shampoo. The knives came from an 1820's add for kitchen knife set, the words came from an add for an energy pill from the same magazine.
The only current date image in the piece is the large fork, witch came from an add for mcdonald's of all things.
The strange cardboard like plastic stuff came off the side of the road back when i lived with Richard in Beaverton.
Thats amaising! The actual composition is alraedy so strong, and the images seem so compelling... and conflicting... whats she doing? or being made to do? Her expression from the embrace, with the compulsion of the big hand and fork... Love it...
Love it...
